Perfect
(credit: Dictionary.com)

1. conforming absolutely to the description or definition of an ideal type: a perfect sphere; a perfect gentleman.
2. entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings: a perfect apple; the perfect crime. 3. accurate, exact, or correct in every detail: a perfect copy.

I bought some peaches at the grocery store yesterday. They were beautiful. Picture quality. They were called Orchard Perfect. The Perfect Peach… Here is what the label said…

Orchard Perfect
Picked at the peak of perfection.

Orchard Perfect if fruit at its very best - tastier, juicier and as fresh as can be. It represents a pursuit of perfection that starts in the orchard itself. It's there that the sweetest fruits that nature has to offer are given every opportunity to shine.

Sun Ripened and Ready to Eat.

Perhaps the best thing about Orchard Perfect fruits is that they're ready to eat the moment you buy them - all you have to do is wash them first. There's no need for extra ripening or storage in the refrigerator. But remember, Orchard perfect fruits are extremely tender and juicy and should be handled very delicately.

I couldn’t wait to get my peaches home and bite into one. I was expecting the juice to drip down my chin…all over my hands…Mmmm. I grabbed a couple extra napkins and sat down. Oh! What a disappointment. The beautiful “Perfect Peach” was dry inside. There was no juice. I didn’t need any napkins. My perfect peach wasn’t perfect. I tried another one. Maybe I just had a bad one… nope. They just weren’t perfect.

The Perfect Hair Color

You're into instant glossification. Sometimes good things come to those who don't have to wait—like Perfect 10 from Nice 'n Easy. Reward yourself now with hair color so perfect, it's guaranteed*.

(Notice the asterisk at the end of that ad…)

Most women, whether they fess up to it or not… dye their hair. My experience is that there is no perfect hair color. There are hair colors that are really nice the day you dye it, but they fade so fast (even permanent ones) and it seems like all you do is dye your hair. Others well, they last a good long time, but they do not come out the color they are supposed to be, but after a few weeks of washing, start to look kinda nice. There is no such thing as perfect hair color… guaranteed…

The Perfect Woman... The Perfect Man...

Blue-eyes, blonde hair, and, most importantly, on a salary considerably lower than her boyfriend or husband. According to recent poll of 66,000 men, their idea of the ideal female would also weigh a slim nine-and-a-half stones, live on her own and occasionally wear glasses.
The research, carried out by the online dating site ukdating.com, also found that 54 per cent of males would not date anyone who earns more than £25,000 a year.
Most men ranked 'blue eyes' as the most important attribute followed by 'long blonde hair', with 'occasionally wears glasses' as third.
The results contrast sharply to when the same survey was carried out by the website on women earlier this year.It found that Mr. Right must be a high earner on £60,000 a year who drives a Mercedes and lives in a £300,000 property in the home counties.

Well, I am going to keep my comments to a minimum on this one, hoping that you are not this shallow. I have heard of blonde hair, blue eyes, but glasses? Never knew that mattered… oh, and remember... you can’t wear them all the time… only occasionally…

I can guarantee you that on my list of the perfect man, (which of course I don’t have one, because there is no such thing… none of us are perfect!) but if I were to make a list… the above three (a particular amount of yearly income, what car he drove, and how much the house he lived cost) would not even make the list…

This world defines perfect in a way far different than the Lord does. Jesus was the only perfect man to ever walk this earth. God is the only one who loves perfectly. There is no perfect peach, no perfect hair color, or perfect man or woman on this earth because this earth is not perfect.

Only God is perfect. Only He can guarantee something. He guaranteed eternal life for us when He sent Jesus to die for our sins. Now, because of what Jesus did on the cross, and only what Jesus did on the cross… we too will be perfect, covered with the righteous robe of Christ.

Don’t waste your time or money looking for perfect here on earth… you will never find it. But there is One who is perfect… and He will meet your every need.

Does wearing your three-prescriptions-old, way out of fashion, takes up half your face, scratched up glasses at night after you take your contacts out count for "occassionally wear glasses"?? If so, I am soooo golden!!! Now I just need to dye my hair, lose a ton of "stones" (I think...are we talking pebbles here? Or boulders?), and get blue tinted contacts. Just don't look at my eye color when I put on the required glasses occassionally!
