Faithful in prayer

Many of you know and are praying for Ian. For those of you who do not know Ian let me introduce you to him and ask you to pray for him. Here is a picture of Ian with his girlfriend Larissa.

Ian was in a bad car accident on September 30, 2006. A few days after the accident the doctors told the family that they should start making funeral arrangements. A few days later, Ian made a change for the better and has made slow and steady progress ever since. He has a severe brain injury but is definitely on the road to recovery. He is still in a stage of a coma, but is able to go through vigorous therapy daily and is even starting to communicate in small ways. The Lord has sustained Ian and spared his life.

I was reading in my devotions today in Romans. I came across this verse and thought of Ian, Larissa and his family.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Share with God's people who are in need.
Romans 12:12,13

His family has asked that we pray that they won't grow weary in faith, that Ian would continue to make progress, that Ian would be able to communicate with them, particularly when he's in pain and that they will be patient and rely on Christ for every single need.

Let us not grow weary in praying for Ian and his family.
